This coming school year I will be taking over as GT coordinator for the Jessieville School District. Some of the activities our students will be participating in next year are Model United Nations and Quiz Bowl. Model UN allows students to learn about the workings of international government and policy making. Likewise, Quiz Bowl allows students to test their knowledge of various topics against their peers from other schools. Students will also work with the Google Expedition Virtual Reality glasses to explore new environments without ever leaving the classroom. Other new educational opportunities in the coming year will include learning programing with Sphero Robots and Lego Robotics Kits.
