Mrs. Nancy Hendrix

I received my BSE from the University of Arkansas.  For 29 years, I have been a Science Teacher.  My first teaching job was at Marvell Academy in Marvell, Arkansas.  I taught one class of every subject in Science. The next school I taught at was the same school that I attended as a student.  Eighth and ninth grade Science at Southwest Jr. High in Hot Springs School was my second teaching job.  I left teaching December 1989 to work as a Simulation Analysist at Teledyne Brown Engineering for the Space Shuttle Program.  August 1994, I began teaching 7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Science at Jessieville School District. I have taught many different science subjects at Jessieville.

I believe that each student has their own style of learning (such as auditory, textile, visual, and/or a combination thereof), and it is important to incorporate as many of these styles as possible when teaching the students.  During the process of lesson planning, my goal is to use these different approaches for maximum subject exposure. I believe this is an effective process to involve the student on as many levels as possible to peak their interest and keep it interesting.
