NEWS AND ALERTS
It is the time of year where the possibility of winter weather is very real and as a district, we must be prepared for school closures.
Arkansas schools no longer have the option of using Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days for virtual learning; therefore, any day(s) that schools must close due to weather will be real snow days THAT WILL HAVE TO BE MADE UP.
Student and staff safety is our priority. On days that main roads allow for safe travel, school will be open in order to minimize the number of days that will have to be made up. There will be designated snow routes for buses on days that side roads are not good for bus travel. The snow routes include strategic hubs for pick-up and drop-off and are the only locations that buses will be picking up and dropping off students on days that we deem necessary to run snow routes due to weather.
Parents: DO NOT drop off the students and leave if the bus is not yet at the location. Wait for the bus to arrive.
Snow routes with approximate times for each bus can be accessed here.
Again, student and staff safety is our priority, and Jessieville School will not be in session if we do not believe that the roads are safe enough to travel to school. If your road is too treacherous to make it to school or to the designated stop on the snow route, please contact your student’s school office.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as decisions about school being open/closed are made.
